What Can CPS Do for YOU?

Identification Cards
Linfield College identification cards are available at Cozine Hall in the LC CPS Office. Your first Linfield ID card is provided free of charge. The replacement cost for a lost card is $15. Broken or damaged cards should be replaced. The first broken/damaged card replacement is free, however, replacements thereafter will be $5. LC CPS Office business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Blue Light and Yellow Box Phones
In an effort to maintain a safer campus, the College maintains eleven Blue Light and Yellow Box courtesy phones. These phones are strategically located throughout the campus and connect directly to LC CPS by pressing the "call" button. Please use these phones to report suspicious circumstances, request patrol courtesy rides, vehicle jump starts or simply to contact LC CPS directly.

Courtesy Rides
LC CPS provides courtesy rides for campus community members who may require assistance due to medical conditions, safety concerns or other needs. Contact LC CPS either at 503-883-SAFE (7233), via a Blue Light phone or a yellow call box located outside most residence halls.

Campus Resource Officer Program (CROP)
The CPS Campus Resource Officer Program is an integral part of Linfield College. The CROP function is similar to a school resource officer, community service officer or crime prevention specialist. The responsibilities of the Campus Resource Officer (CRO) include:

-Liaison between the student body and Residence Life staff.
-Responsible for education on a variety of subjects related to crime and safety.
-Developing programs for campus community awareness of crime and crime prevention.

Key Services
It is important that all campus community members responsibly carry their keys and access cards with them at all times.

If you are locked out, here is the process you should go through:
1. Contact your roommate(s), if you have one.
2. Check if a Resident Advisor (RA) in your building is available.
3. If no RAs in your hall are available, Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., please contact the Residence Life Staff in Mahaffey 127 or by calling 503-883-5389.
4. If it is outside those hours, contact LC CPS for assistance at 503-883-SAFE (7233).
